Marcialonga Cycling 2012

27/05/2012

Three Dolomites passes to climb, three different provinces to cross, one exciting road race: this is the Marcialonga Cycling! The competition will start its 6th edition on Sunday 27 May 2012. Despite being the youngest of the Marcialonga tests, the competition has carved for itself a place of absolute respect in the cycling world in the four years of its life, winning especially the hearts of many athletes and bicycle enthusiasts.

A choice of two routes presents itself after a start in the Predazzo ski jumping stadium. The first one, about 135 km long with a difference in height of 3279 m, takes the athletes to attack the Lavazé, San Pellegrino and Valles passes, to then go back to the Fiemme town. A real delicacy if you love climbers stuff, with maximum gradients reaching 20%. The second route, 80 km long and with a difference in height of 1894 m, will propose one single climb to Passo Lavazé.
