
This top European competition for snowshoeing fans is one of the most popular winter event in Italy.
Held traditionally at the end of the Christmas holiday season - this year on the 6th of January editor’s note - in the Upper Val di Non, with the participation of over six thousand athletes, both professionals and non. Apart from being a key pro event - since it is part of the "European Snowshoe Cup" - the race is also highly popular among amateurs, enthusiasts or simply curious, coming from all over Europe to support and celebrate the athletes.
The competition is organised on two levels: competitive and non-competitive. It features a route of approximately 7 km that takes competitors on a journey through Val di Non’s small rural towns and countryside, before finishing in Fondo. A series of correlated events are held at the end of the competition, including lotteries, a fireworks display and food and wine meetings.
