FESTE VIGILIANE 2010

In early summer, from the 17th to the 26th of june 2010, Trento wears the festive dress to host
plenty of people to be carried along the clean and
elegant paths of the city centre, in honour of Saint Vigilius of Trento

 
Everything’s ready for the 27th edition of the FESTE VIGILIANE,
the event of the year taking place in Trento city.

Hundreds of exhibitions concerning: culture, arts and crafts, music, popular and traditional games, food, wine and more, to celebrate the Patron Saint of the city: “Saint Vigilius of Trento”.

As usual "Feste Vigiliane" presents the traditional challenges recalling the games of the old times, like the “Palio dell’Oca” a masquerade punting along the river Adige, and the “Mascherada dei Ciusi e dei Gobj" a masquerade game with two teams competing for a symbolical pot of polenta, organized upon the actual historical events that took place in the feud between Feltre and Trento in the Middle Age.

Besides the traditional events there are going to be concerts, art exhibitions, fireworks, and much more than that.

Brand new event of this season: the rock concert on the 26th at the Santa Chiara Garden beside the Faculty of Arts and Philosophy from 18:00 to midnight.
